I'd especially like to hear from people who have played with this mod for a while.
I'm at around turn 70 in my Dwarf campaign with Grombrindal, first time I've used the overhaul or played Dwarfs.
So far it feels kind of like a mixed bag. While it is cool that the map seems more active than before, it also feels a lot more chaotic and over the top. Seems like everyone was throwing up multiple full stacks from the word go. Everything seems to be progressing MUCH faster now.
EDIT: Also, autoresolve seems really screwy. I've had battles that the balance bar tells me is literally 99%+ in my favor come out as close victories with me losing a ton of troops. High-tier troops, no less.
EDIT THE SECOND: I've had a bit more time to gather my thoughts, and I'm sort of torn as to whether or not use it for my Wood Elf campaign. I love the fact that the factions seem to be balanced out better, I mean for godssake this is the first time I've ever seen the empire actually be on even ground with Chaos. In both of my previous campaigns Archaon just shits right in the Empires mouth. What I'm not so sure I like is that the map feels so goddamn active it's honestly almost overwhelming.

When I was shopping for a new toaster I took the undertaking very seriously. I'm a value conscious chap and I needed something that would go the distance. My priorities were to find a slime toast, one that toasted evenly, and that would last.Reading the reviews here I was initially quite hesitant to take the plunge. I've heard the motors can go out, it doesn't toast evenly, and it won't even fit two slices of bread. What a travesty!
Well, I've had this now for over two years and it still works just as well as the day I bought it. The motor still runs perfectly after near daily use.
I guess if you're looking for a toaster like this you're either looking for an aesthetic value or an economical footprint. My concern was more for the latter but I also liked the way this looked. I guess I was willing to try my luck with the hand of the toaster gods and take a leap of faith that it would accept my duo-toasting needs.
I'm happy to report this unit happily chomps up any two 'standard' slices of bread I feed it. I say 'standard' because it seems what used to be the norm (i.e. that bread that left you wondrous) has given way to some rather gluttonous leafy characters. Sure they may be satisfying when your in need of superior satiation but this is not what I think of when I think of 'a slice of bread'. This is like trying to take a foot-long hot-dog and make it onto a standard sized bun. I guess if you're primary bread habits consist of more 'modern' cuts then you may want to stray from this.
Not only are we fraught with binary toasting bliss but those suckers come out nice and even. Okay, so complaint number two I have to squelch: uneven toasting. First of all, what are you comparing it to? I've had numerous lower priced toasters that do an okay job of toasting. If you're comparing this to that I'll plan that fifth peg on your Battleship and blow it right out of the water.
I submit that if every piece of bread you cut is absolutely perfect and even, you'll come out with a toast quality worthy of royalty. Unless you're Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich is baking your bread products I doubt you'll ever attain that sort of perfection. For any mortal slice of glutinous, or even non glutinous, starchy food product I've never been more satisfied with the crisp to area ratio.
This is a solid, handsome looking toaster that can handle a couple pieces of average-sized bread products, bagel-sized too. It's slim, compact, cleans up nice, and affords plenty of room for your other appliances, or a prep space. I thought about giving it 4/5 stars for the space situation, but you know what? I didn't expect this to fit that. I'm reviewing the product on the merits of what's being advertised and to that end, this lives up to the hype.
There’s no doubt that Total War is one of Sega’s major franchises, and the series’ high fantasy turn-based strategy and real-time tactics title Total War: Warhammer 2 is set earn its keep within the brand’s umbrella by ensuring that fans are flush with post-launch materials. As it so happens, Sega has now unveiled the cinematic trailer for the game’s forthcoming Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC.
As seen below in Total War: Warhammer 2‘s latest trailer, fans of the game should expect Curse of the Vampire Coast to feature four undead pirate Legendary Lords, units such as gun-wielding deckhands, large enemy crabs, and a themed campaign to play through as well. Luthor Harkon is only the first of the Legendary Lords to be revealed, so it’s safe to presume that the rest will be unveiled at a later date.
Total War: Warhammer 2‘s Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC will officially go live starting next month on November 8, but fans of the title can go ahead and pre-order their copy of the expansion right now through Steam for a 10% discount. And for those who typically avoid add-ons, the developer Creative Assembly has assured fans that everyone will see changes once the new update arrives, as enemy pirate captains and forces from Curse of the Vampire Coast will appear in-game as AI controlled enemies for everyone.
Additionally, Creative Assembly has also promised Total War: Warhammer 2 fans that it will be bringing a major update to the Vampire Counts factions in Mortal Empires, by giving them new mechanics, and revised skills and abilities. What’s more is that a new Legendary Lord will also be completely free to all players–even those that don’t buy the Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC.
All things considered, Total War: Warhammer 2‘s Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC definitely appears as if it will be chock full of content, which will likely be welcomed with open arms by players. With this being the case, it will be interesting to see if the expansion not only pleases long-time fans, but also helps to boost the title’s player base.
Total War: Warhammer 2 is available now for PC, and its Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC is set to launch on November 8, 2018.

It's finally happened: the Steam Workshop is now open for Total War: Warhammer 2! After weeks of delays due to bugs causing constant crashes with mods, the floodgates have been opened and you can tweak the game till your heart's content!
After less than 48 hours, there are already more than 600 Warhammer 2 mods available at the Steam Workshop, with many of them ported directly from the previous game.
Out of those hundreds of mods uploaded already (with more being added all the time), which ones are the must-haves that should be downloaded ASAP? Go ahead and click that Next button to get started with the 9 best Total War: Warhammer 2 Steam Workshop mods!
Better Camera Mod
A lot of players are going to head straight for the Legendary Lord double skill point mods, the combat tweaks, updated battle standards, or even the diplomacy changing mods.
Not me. No sir, my go-to first mod for anything Total War related will always be the camera. This one changes how the camera rotates and lets you go both higher and lower, giving better vantage points for surveying the battlefield and for getting up close for those killer screenshots.
Double Lord Skill Points
After grabbing that camera update, your next stop in the Warhammer 2 Steam Workshop should absolutely be here for doubling your Lord and Legendary Lord skill points. With two per level instead of one, those Lords will feel more like the battlefield-controlling powerhouses they are supposed to be.
There will almost certainly be a cheat version of this in the future that doesn't apply to enemy Lords as well, but for now its actually a balanced, non-cheating mod since the AI Lords get the boost as well. Be careful when fighting one of those upgraded Lords!
For a little more tweaking of the Lord skill trees, you can also grab the Unlock All Lord Skills mod here, which does exactly what it sounds like and doesn't lock you out of branches of the tree depending on what you picked previously.
Building Progression Icons
Team Radious was all over getting major improvements added to the first game, and they are at it again with Warhammer 2. While constructing new buildings during the Vortex campaign, you might have noticed something a little odd.. all the icons stay the same, even after a structure is upgraded.
Kind of an oversight, don't you think? This work-in-progress mod fixes that by tweaking each icon for every upgraded version of a building. At the moment it only covers the High Elf faction, but is currently being expanded to all the Vortex campaign factions. There's also minor tweaks when a different faction controls a province, giving a visual cue as to which one is in control.
Spectator Mode
Auto resolving a battle means you miss all the carnage, but going through yet another fight you know you are going to win can get tiresome as well with all the micro-managing thrown at you by Total War.
That's where Spectator Mode comes in -- letting you turn on the AI during a battle and freely roam the battle to watch wherever the fighting is thickest. The mod also features options for changing what is controlled by AI, letting you still control your Lord for instance, or controlling your armies while the AI handles all reinforcements and summoned units.
While this is a cool mod for getting a better look at the game's combat, be advised that sometimes the AI does dumb things. So you you might end up losing units by accident!
Immersive Battle Banners
The previous game was flooded with updated banner mods, and Total War: Warhammer 2 isn't going to be any different!
Everybody seems to have a different opinion on how the various banners and heraldry should look, with some focused on lore-friendly versions closer to the tabletop miniature game and others just wanting banners that look bad ass on the field of battle.
This is one of the first banner mods to arrive, making each banner more complex and distinct while getting rid of that sort of plastic toy look. Some of these are pretty spectacular, but as with most of these mods there are still tweaks to be made as a few are quite oversaturated and hard to see properly during the campaign.
Crynsos' Faction Unlocker
Pretty soon this one actually won't be needed, since the developer will be bringing in the entire map and all factions from the previous game for the combined Mortal Empires campaign in the near future. For now, however, this sweet little mod lets you play as any faction on the Vortex campaign map.
Keep in mind a few things are a little wonky as some of the faction abilities from the previous game weren't meant to be used with the Vortex mechanics (which is probably why its taking so long for Creative Assembly to make it all fit together).
Overall though, this is a fun way to try out different races before the official Mortal Empires patch arrives.
Darker Grand Campaign
The cinematic cut scenes make the Vortex and its environs look one way, but the actual campaign map seems to look quite a bit different. Sometimes the bright colors and cartoonish effects lead to what this mod's creator describes as a 'My Little Pony look.'
Steel Faith Overhaul Mod
I'm not sure I'd go that far, but then again this series is supposed to be the epitome of the grimdark style, so adding in a little extra darkness wouldn't hurt. F horn fingering chart. That's exactly what this mod does, changing up the lighting effects across the map to match the cinematic visuals more closely, from deserts to jungles to the Vortex itself.
Brutal Battles
If you aren't a huge fan of the highly regimented, orderly combat that this particular iteration of the Warhammer series utilizes, then Brutal Battles is the mod for you.
Melee becomes a chaotic jumbled mess of bodies, and combat stats are tweaked so cavalry runs down stationary units more effectively, and spells obliterate tightly massed armies.
Sadly, there's no actual combat blood mod yet (how does that get left out of a realistic war game?), but fingers crossed that it arrives soon.
Big Ol' Cheat Mod
We're gonna wrap up this list of Total War: Warhammer 2 mods with an entry for the filthy casuals (bless your hearts, I'm one of you!) who love Warhammer.. but can't stand the Total War complexity and difficulty levels.
Here's your standard Vortex campaign cheat mod that increases your tax income, reduces unit upkeep, lowers public unrest, and adds to the unit replenishment rate so you can just enjoy the game rather than trying to figure out how to not constantly lose your empire.
While these covered a lot of ground between visual style and game substance, that's only 9 out of hundreds of mods currently available, with dozens more being added every week!
Let us know what you thought of our Total War: Warhammer 2 Steam Workshop mods roundup, and be sure to recommend some other killer mods we should check out in the comments.

FINALLY! Fantastic game but damn, going for a full map completion ..is such an arduous task. Taking out the Kingdom of Wu wasn't even fun, I had 18 armies against their 8, 5 of which I destroyed in the first 3 turns. Me playing as Yuan Shao and consolidating the entire north eastern corner of the map probably extended this game by at least 50 turns however, the kingdoms of Wei, Shu-Hanand Wu were all pushed further to the south of China. Full map completion, 231 turns. 35 in game hours.I will definitely delve back into this game once Steam Workshop has been opened. I think the game could use some mods for the following things:Extra regional units such as Mongolian and Manchurian cavalry, Tibetan Skirmishers, ect. 12 turns per year. My game took a slight nose dive in quality 150 turns in when the legendary characters started dropping like flies. More faction colour variety. Being able to build more than 1 damn building per province at a time.See More
